Ryan O'Neal's son pleaded guilty to drunk driving and weapons charges
|
Ryan O'Neal's son, Griffin O'Neal, pleaded guilty to felony drug and and weapons charges stemming from a head-on vehicle crash. He had amphetamines, cocaine, marijuana and the anti-anxiety drug Xanax in his system when his car drove into an oncoming lane and collided with another vehicle, prosecutors said. The driver of the other vehicle suffered head and back injuries.
O'Neal was on probation for a drunk driving conviction at the time of the accident. A shotgun and ammunition were found in his car, leading to a charge of being a felon in possession of a weapon, prosecutors said.
O'Neal could face a maximum four years in prison.
